I have not blogged in a while, but whatever.

I am here today to tell you all not to buy this.

Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads.

One of my favorite YouTuber's said she used this. So, of course, I go out and buy this. I mean, what else should I have done. ;)

This is thee worst eye makeup remover I have ever used. This does not remove a lick of mascara or eyeliner, and I do not use waterproof mascara.

There is a huge sticker on the lid stating "#1 eye makeup remover." I totally disagree with that statement.

Most of the pads in the container have come out looking dried out.

I know this review basically sucks, but the product sucks. I have nothing good to say about it. Basically I'm here telling you not to buy this the next time you are in the drugstore looking for a makeup remover. Any one by Neutrogena is 10x better.

uncomfortable nail polish

I like nail polish. I like nail polish in different colors. But I am uncomfortable wearing colors like bright blue and green out in public by themselves. Not to say that I won't, but not often.

When I first heard of this crackle polish, my first thought was that it would make me more comfortable wearing these strange polish colors out in public. And I was correct.

I still feel a bit indifferent about this crackle polish. I like it, but I don't love it, and I don't hate it.

Together is a nice combination.

This combination was my first time using Black Shatter, and I should have waited until the base color dried completely. On some nails you can see that it pulled a little bit and the color faded in these areas. The polish in these pictures are a few days old, so there is some tip wear.

I was made aware that I haven't posted a blog in six months. Whatever. Maybe I'll get back into blogging soon. I shop a lot, so most will be haul posts. And a few FOTD's, I don't do much makeup during the week for work anymore. I am also planning on trying to do a blog sale...maybe. I need to learn how to send invoices and stuff through PayPal, something I've never done before.

It took me forever to find these two polishes, that I *just had to have*. Yeah, right. These are from OPI Summer Flutter collection. I've been having these for a few weeks and have used them quite a bit. I'm not a big fan of blue nail polish, on my fingers, but I'm loving Catch Me In Your Net on my toes (although I won't be posting a pic of my toes, that's just nasty). And Wing It! Is a great color! I LOVE it! I find these wear a bit longer than normal, which is good by me.

destin outlet mall haul

I recently had a little vacation to Destin. I had a great time with some great friends. We went shopping at The Silver Sands Factory Outlet. I was quite impressed. It was huge! I did a *bit* of shopping.

Juicy Couture Outlet. I was really interested in finding a purse there, but no luck. Everything in the store was already discounted, at outlet prices, and there was an additional 40% off everything. I picked up these two pairs of earrings. I also thought about getting a backup of Viva la Juicy perfume (since it was 40% off), but in the end changed my mind. I have WAY too much perfume anyway.

After the discount, each was about $20...not bad!!

Fossil Outlet. I went in intending on getting only the white watch, but walked out with the white and clear band watches. The clear band watch I will use for work, the white one is for "play." =)

CCO! I wasn't impressed with this CCO at all. I've only been to one other CCO and that on is in Biloxi and was highly impressed with it. This one didn't have any products out, only samples. I had to ask for what I wanted. It was totally different from the CCO in Biloxi. I guess they had a problem with theft. I'm not sure. But there wasn't a lot of products in the store, but I was happy they had what I wanted.

I picked up two Smoke & Diamonds eyeshadow (my fav), a gift set (I'm assuming from the holiday collection) it had Love Connection mineralized eyeshadow, Dainty mineralized blush, and Light Flush MSF, and a 181SE buffer brush. I also picked up some eye makeup remover from Clinique.

I wasn't planning on going to the mall again on Sunday, but I spent the day with the parents and that is where we ended up.

I am very excited because it was a very successful day of shopping as I found things that I have been searching for.

I had missed out on OPI Summer Flutter collection. I usually buy my OPI from Ulta, but they were all sold out by the time I got there. I checked the JC Penny salon but they didn't receive this collection. So, I basically gave up.

As I was walking the mall with the mother we passed Trade Secret. I always forget they sell nailpolishes. I popped in and they had it!

I got the last one of Catch Me In Your Net! I have Wing It! on my nails right now and its a beautiful bright pink.

I have been looking for this Carolina Herrera perfume ever since I saw lollipop26 talk about it in one of her YouTube videos. It seems like that was at least 6 months to a year ago. I could not find this perfume anywhere!!

The mother wanted to stop in Perfumania. They were having a summer sale, somethings were buy one get one free and most perfumes were 20% off.

As I was trying to help her choose, my keen eye spotted this! I am guessing its called CH by Carolina Herrera. It smells very similar to my ALL TIME FAVORITE PERFUME, Euphoria by Calvin Klein. Except I find that CH is a bit lighter. It doesn't matter, at 20% off I had to have it!

I am very happy with my purchases, considering I thought I was never going to find any of them. But to find them all in one day was a great success! :)

I headed into town on Saturday to pick up some things (SPF) for my beach trip this weekend. Of course I stopped at the mall. I had a 20% off coupon for Ulta that I *had* to use before it expired.

At Sephora, I picked up two polishes from their new collection, Rocker Glam, or something like that and Michael Kors Very Hollywood rollerball perfume.

I like green eyeshadow. I have it in my head that I must have every green eyeshadow ever released. So I picked up a few from the new Dare To Wear collection from MAC.

I've been wanting to try Pureology for a while now, but never wanted to drop the money on it. So I picked up the small "travel" sized items. And I figured with a 20% off coupon, what the heck, right?

I also picked up two NYX glosses, I quite enjoy Baby Rose.

I picked up this Compass pendant necklace at Target, for right under $20. I like it a lot!

I bought the Revlon Photoready foundation to try it out and I didn't like it, it was too sparkly on its own. So I mixed it with MAC Studio Fix Fluid and really liked the results. I am NC 15, and thats still not quite my exact shade, even with the Revlon Photready mixed with it. So I took Cargo foundation in F10, put a little bit in the bottle mixed it up and I love the result!

Yeah, I bought a few things....

Between work and the gym, I walk a lot. I buy tennis shoes once about every three to four months and sometimes stretch it to six or seven. But it could just be because I like new shoes....
Asics (however its spelled), my first pair from this brand. I mainly bought them because they were $30, on sale. I also always buy a dark tennis shoes. My usual brand is New Balance. Never Nike (my feet are too wide!!). My old tennis shoes were some men's Puma's and I really liked them!

Bath & Body Works semi-annual sale. Didn't do much damage, mainly because I feel guilty because I have a TON of bath and body products I need to use up.

Estee Lauder Peach Nuance blush. Beautiful. Love it.

MAC wipes and Shy Girl Creamsheen lipstick.
I was always iffy about using the MAC wipes. I have only recently started using makeup removing wipes and have only used Neutrogena, but decided to give the MAC ones a try. I'm still not sure how I like them.

Stereo Rose! I got it! I had to hit up the ghetto mall early in the morning that release day to get Stereo Rose. The counter was only sent three, and one was a tester.

I tried to order it online, but I ended up getting an email saying it was on backorder. I know its a super coveted item, but really its just 'meh' to me. I think its just my skintone that makes me not like it on myself. But I have it and will use it because it is nice.

I like this color, but I think its a bit too purple for me, personally. I can still make it work though.

My first Essie polishes! I like them sofar.

Bobbi Brown has thee best gel liners in my opinion, and a vast selection of colors.

Coach wristlet that I'll be using as a coin purse. I really wanted a Rebecca Minkoff coin purse. The ones I found weren't in the colors that I wanted. I will keep checking though!

I have know idea what else I used but I do know it was the Photorealism Quad by MAC. This is the look that I wore when my parents took me out to lunch for my birthday, which was two weeks ago. So I really don't remember what I used, these pictures were just sitting in my camera and decided to use them because I really do LOVE the Photorealism Quad.

I usually don't use colored bases but I used MAC Sweet Sage Fluidline here. Using a green base under these shadows from this quad really makes a difference.

Yeah, its been a long time. I'm not giving any excuses, because it isn't that serious.

I've been giving my Urban Decay Book of Shadows, Volume 2 a lot of love lately. I have also been giving more neutral colors a lot of love. (Thats my justification for ordering Urban Decay's Naked Pallette!)

I wore this look to go see Eclipse for the second time around. Its worth seeing it twice. Hell, its worth seeing it as many times as you can! But really, I enjoyed it more the second time around.

TransDesign nailpolish haul

Apparently there is some type of drama going on with OPI and online sellers. I don't know the details, I just know that these online sellers are getting rid of their stock by selling their OPI at discounted prices. Of course, I jumped on that train.

I have ordered from TransDesign once in the past. I had ordered the entire collection of nail polishes from the China Glaze OMG collection. It was an awesome collection entirely of holographic nail polishes. I believe that collection came out quite a while back but they still had all the colors in stock.

I am also quite impressed with the shipping times. I ordered on a Saturday afternoon and received the order on Wednesday.

Anyway, I ordered some OPI colors that I had been eyeing.

From the Shrek collection (btw, I can't friggin wait for the movie!!!)
I haven't used either of these yet, but I did swatch them on a nail when I got them. I have read on different blogs that they go on quite streaky. I didn't see any of that when I swatched them.

Coney Island Cotton Candy is just 'meh' for me. I do like it, but it is nothing special. And Hot & Spicy is from the Hong Kong collection. Its a nice, bright reddish-orange color. Its a great summer pedicure color.

When I originally saw all the colors for the Hong Kong collection I wasn't impressed and didn't really want anything from it. Well, a few months later, I have collected five colors from the collection...

At first I didn't want anything to do with the OPI Designer Series because they were 12.50 at Ulta. There was no way I was going to spend that much on a bottle of nailpolish. Since these were discounted I decided to jump on it.

These are two awesome holo colors that are quite different from my China Glaze holos. Not different in a bad way, just different.

I also have an order from Nubar that I will get around to posting soon. There was a 20% off sale for Mother's Day, otherwise I would have probably never ordered.

Also, I think I have been becoming quite obsessed with nail polish. My collection is quite out of hand. It is almost to that embarrassing point. I find that my obsessions have changed lately. It went from eyeshadow, to lipstick, to blush...then onto perfume (when I couldn't wear my contacts because of preparing for LASIK eye surgery...couldn't see to put on decent eyeshadow)...and now onto nail polish. I think I need help. :)

I totally suck at keeping up with writing blog posts, but oh well. This is a look from about two or three weeks ago. I was going to a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness and was supposed to wear pink. I don't own pink clothes and wasn't really into buying a pink shirt that I would only wear once. So I stuck with the usual black shirt with just a pink cami underneath.

Since I wasn't wearing pink, I threw a little in my eyeshadow. I also don't like to wear pink-ish eyeshadow because I think it makes me look sick and tired. So I mixed it in with a little purple, and loved it.

I was quite impressed with this look. I like this "style" of putting on eyeshadow, and I rarely do it in this way. I'll make more of an effort into doing my eyeshadow in this fashion more often.

I'm really enjoying this Chanel foundation. Even though I buy the lightest shade of any foundation I always think that it is too dark for me. I wore this a few times when I first got it and I came to the conclusion that it was not a match to my skin tone and that it was a bit too matte for my liking. Now I've tried it again and I'm loving. It is actually almost a perfect match. I had always applied my foundation with the MAC 109 brush (a small contour brush), but now I'm using a MAC 190 brush (a traditional foundation brush). I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I am also setting my foundation with MSF Natural instead of MAC Prep n Prime Translucent Powder.

Enough rambling about different circumstances. I don't know if any of these things plays a part, but I much rather the Chanel foundation now to when I bought it about six months ago.

This is a haul post of many.

With my 15% off coupon to Sephora in my hand, I walked in knowing I wanted one of the perfumes by D&G. I just didn't know which one. Now I want about two more.

I picked up L'Amoureaux by D&G, a roll on Pink Sugar perfume, and my favorite mascara YSL Faux Cils.

I want to get 10 La Roue De La Fortune and 1 Le Bateleur. I thought about just getting the Coffret with all 5 fragrances, but those small bottles don't have the sprayer (? I'm sure there is a technical term for it) on it. Which turned me off. I will just build my collection of D&G. I say I will do it slowly, but with my crazy brain, I will probably get them within the next week. LOL, I kid, I kid.

I had to stop at Walgreen's for some things one night, and of course I looked at all the cosmetics. I picked up a few nail polishes from quite a few different brands I've never tried before. I also bought L'Oreal Studio Secrets primer.

I actually think this could be HG material I'm working with here. I've worn it for two days now, and it has kept my foundation looking nice and fresh throughout the day. Since I've only worn it twice I can't say if it will break me out or not, but I'm hoping it won't.

Nail polishes from left to right:

Borghese - Stellare Notte...This polish is awesome. It looks like a plain charcoal grey, but when the light hits it, it has green and purple shimmer in it. It resembles an oil slick to me, with a rainbow of colors on dark grey base color.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro - Violet Metal...This is an awesome color purple with blue shimmer in it. I really can't wait to get a pedi with this!

Wet n Wild - Night Prowl...I think of this as MAC Beauty Marked eyeshadow in nail polish form.

Wal-Mart time! I've been seeing advertisements for Crest 3D White and I have been wanting to try it. In my eyes, your teeth can never be too white. A beach trip is in the works for me, so I've been stocking up on sunscreen. If you can't tell, I am quite pale. I never tan, I always burn. With that said, I bought L'Oreal Sublime Bronze. I thought I would give it a shot, LOL, I'll probably look ridiculous. And word on the street is that Revlon Contour Shadow Brush is something great. So, I saw, and I bought. No reasoning behind it.

And these are some more nail polishes that I've acquired over the past month or two or so...

haul & FOTD "the other three"

This picture has nothing to do with nothing, but I was looking back at past pictures on my computer and came across this one. Just noticing that I actually took the time to line my waterline and lower lash line, which is something I rarely do. I like the way it looks...I need to do this more often.

OK, haul time. I went to the mall with hopes of finding a new pair of jeans and some jean capri's. No such luck. No jeans in my size and all the jean capri's had holes and distress marks on them, and I don't care for that look. I also needed some more hand soaps from Bath & Body Works.

But of course, I had to stop by Lush. There was a party, got a free lip balm and when you RSVP you get a free bath bomb of your choice. I keep saying I'm going to stay away from Lush and use what I have (which I have been doing, for the most part). But I really wanted to try the Fresh Farmacy soap. Got that, along with Sex Bomb Bath Bomb, Karma Komba solid shampoo, Daddy O shampoo, and Therapy massage bar.

I wanted to try Fresh Farmacy soap because its supposed to help sensitive skin. I'm going to give it a try and see how I like it.

I really only got Karma Komba so my hair can smell of the Karma fragrance and Daddy O for my blonde hair. Violet shampoo brightens blonde and grey hair and it was time to replace my other violet shampoo (I was previously using the same kind of shampoo my g-maw uses to keep her "silver" hair "silver".)

And my free gift was Honey Trap lip balm, which I didn't really want, but the girl gave it to me anyway. And since I RSVP'ed I got to pick a bath bomb and I chose Honeybee.

I was also asking my favorite Lush girl about the Fresh Face Masks, and she gave me one that was about to expire to try it out. I got Catastrophe Cosmetic. Its purple and packed with blueberries. I tried it last night and I really like it!

Bath & Body Works goodies...I needed some more hand soaps and also picked up some other goodies.

I also got some new shades, by Fossil. Nothing special.

FOTD: the *other* three

In my makeup world, "the three" consist of Juxt, Swimming, and Humid eye shadows. These are "the three" and are HG items in my life. And in my sick and demented mind these can only be paired together. Of course, I pair them with other shades, but its like they were meant to be used together.

Nailpolish: Zoya Reece

Zoya nail polish in Reece is a great summer color. It is a bright pink with gold and green-ish shimmer in it. Although, in the pictures you can't see the green shimmer. I am slowly building a love/hate relationship with Zoya polishes. I love the formula and color selection of them, but hate that I can only purchase online. I wish my Ulta or Sally's had Zoya, then it would be trouble.

Random question: Is "nail polish" one word (nailpolish) or two words (nail polish)??? And is "nail polish" the correct term? Or is that just something I use or just something from my area?

I hear all different kinds of terms, I just wonder what the correct term is...

I thought I would join in on the monthly favorites posts! So, here are my favorite things from the month of March.

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Foundation applied with a MAC 190 brush.
In my futile attempt to "use what I have", I have rediscovered my love for these two things. I honestly don't know why I have about 5 different types of foundation brushes, when this traditional foundation brush does it well. As far as the foundation goes, its great coverage and matches my skin tone well, I barely need any concealer.

Zoya Anchor Base Coat
I have super thin, peely nails. Any time I paint my nails (with any other type of base coat), they chip within the day. Since I have been using this base coat from Zoya, I don't have as much of a problem. Now my nails still peel and chip, but I can go about 3 days with this base coat with out any chipping. It really "anchors" the polish to my nails.

MAC Shell Pearl Beauty Powder
This doesn't look like much in the pan, but on your face it is a beautiful golden highlight. I'll be honest, I don't highlight correctly. I just put my highlight color over my blush color, and it looks fine to me. With this I have been dusting a little above my eyebrows and on top of blush and I love it. It gives a very nice gold-ish glow.

Miss Dior Cherie
Do I even need to explain why this is a favorite? It is pure love in spray form. I have used this most of the month and get compliments every time I wear it. I didn't really like it much when I first smelled it, but I figured I would get it anyway since everyone loves it. It was a bit strong for my usual taste. But I have been using it and I love it now!

Lush Rehab Shampoo and American Cream Conditioner
I always thought shampoo was shampoo and conditioner was conditioner, it didn't matter to me. Well, my thoughts have totally changed since using this combination. I could tell a difference in my hair within a week. It looks so much healthier and more moisturized without being weighed down. In fact, I find it has more body without any added styling products. Which is saying something big because I have super fine, baby thin hair, which is straight with no life to it! I am now a big lover of Lush hair care.

I hope to keep this type of post an ongoing thing for me because I love reading everyone elses!

a fairly small haul...for me anyway

Last Saturday I hit the roads with my preggo BFF. She was trying to find some maternity pants to wear for work. I had a mission to find New Moon on DVD and use my coupons at Ulta.

As always, I stopped at Lush. I had to check out their new items for Easter. They were nice but they were all bath bombs, and I don't care for bath bombs too much.

I picked up Dorothy and Comforter Bubble Bar. I'm not sure if Dorothy was an item for Easter or just a new Bubble Bar.

I also got a sample of Porridge soap.

I like the way Porridge smells, but I don't like the things in it. Seeds? Oats? I don't know what they are, but they kinda gross me out a little. I don't like them sticking to the sides of my tub.

I had a few coupons for Ulta. The Maybelline mascara was free. Its a nice mascara, but I don't like the plastic wands and its awkward to put on vibrating mascara. I'll use this up, but wouldn't repurchase.

I also picked up OPI Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees Suede nail polish. Even though I know its almost summer and I should be getting brighter colors, I still love my dark nails!

At Bath & Body Works I wanted to get some summer-y scented Wall Flowers. I picked up Caribbean Salsa and Pomegranate Lemonade. I had a Caribbean Salsa candle last summer and I loved it. Pomegranate Lemonade is a new scent and I love it. I don't know what pomegranates smell like, but this scent smells like a fruity lemonade. Its great. I want to go back and pick up some of the fragrance oil and maybe a big candle.

I also picked up some small anti-bacterial gels. I carry these around in my pocket at work. I know they aren't 'hospital approved', but the one at the hospital are sticky and makes my hands burn and all rashy.

I'm going to a fundraiser walk for my hospital. The proceeds go to pediatrics. You walk and then there is a 'party.' Restaurants from around the city donate food, Miller Brewing Co. donates draft beer (yeah, buddy! I love my beer!), and a good band plays. Its quite fun. I have went every year since I started working there.

The LORAC gloss is very nice, although it has a strange smell. Almost melon-y. Its not a bad scent, just unusual for a lip gloss. It is pink with a green shimmer to it, almost like MAC Lollipop Loving lipstick.

Liberty of London Haul

I visited my MAC last night to check out the new Liberty of London collection. In my opinion, its a very nice collection. The packaging is very pretty. There was the Too Fabulous collection out, the one with mineralized blushes and Creamsheen glasses. I have no desire for the blushes and a few of the Creamsheen Glasses caught my eye, but I really don't need any more lip products. So I passed on all that.

I was most excited about Blue India nail polish and Shell Pearl Beauty Powder. The mall I went to has two MAC's, a freestanding store and a counter at Dillard's. Last night I went to Dillard's and they were already sold out of both of the Beauty Powders and its only been on counters for two days! The SA called the MAC store and they had it. I was so happy because that's one of the only things I wanted!!

I ended picking up English Accents Lipglass and Bough Grey eyeshadow. English Accents looks like it will be a great complimenting lipglass for Viva Glam Gaga and Snob lipsticks. Bough Grey is a grey-ish/green-ish eyeshadow. I don't *believe* I have anything similar so I picked it up.

I also thought about getting the other Beauty Powder, Summer Rose. It is a nice color, but I believe a bit too purple for my skin tone.

The packaging is super nice. All the writing on the box is in gold, which makes a nice show but is kind of hard to read. But who reads the stuff on the box anyway...

Even the inside of the box is printed! So nice!

My swatches always suck. Bough Grey is swatched on top of UDPP.

I am really liking Blue India. Once I got home I realized I recently bought a blue polish, OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui. But Blue India is much darker and more of a blue-green. Compared to Blue India, the OPI is a truer blue and a bit brighter.

Overall, I like this collection. I am happy with what I purchased and I don't think I will go back for anything. All the lipsticks weren't my kind of colors. There was a nice light pink, but it had too much purple going on for me. And there was a nice coral-ish color, but I don't think I would ever wear that type of color.

Its the weekend! =) Anyone have any great plans? None for me. But I am planning on starting to learn Spanish with my good friend, Rosetta Stone!!

I dislike the cold but I really HATE hot, 103 degree summer weather. Why can't it just be a nice, breezy, 65 degree day all the time... That's not asking too much. =)

I also wanted to show one of my favorite nail polishes. China Glaze Wagon Trail. Its a nice dark, olive green...it looks black from a distance, but up close you can tell its green. That's the type of nail polishes I like.

I know my hands are looking rough, but I don't really take that much care of my cuticles. I wash my hands about a thousand times a day (exaggeration) so they are always super dry. I do exfoliate and moisturize them on a regular basis, but its just really hard since they are always being washed.

Lush haul that wasn't supposed to happen

I went to the mall with my younger cousin to look for some dress clothes for an event she is going to this week. So, I wasn't there to shop for myself. My cousin found the clothes she needed. Then she needed shoes. And it just so happens that the shoe store we ended up at is right across from the Lush store.

Apparently, they were having an event. You bring in yellow bags to be recycled and you got free items for however many bags you brought in. I didn't know about the event so I didn't have any bags to bring in. But in the past, I have brought back yellow bags to fill again. The SA remembered this, and she hooked me up anyway. I really do love the girls at my Lush!

I use Tea Tree Water Toner and needed another. I had also recieved a generous sample of Rehab shampoo on a past Lush trip. I used it up and I loved it and needed more. Its a great shampoo that doesn't leave my hair very dry. I pair Rehab up with American Cream conditioner. I have also used it a few times with Veganese conditioner, which worked out well, but left my hair a bit dryer since Veganese is a lighter conditioner.

I still can't decided which conditioner from Lush I prefer. American Cream or Veganese. I like them both.

Then I got tons of samples and free gifts.

This was the free gift when you spend $40. Think Pink Bath Bomb, Alkmaar Soap, and a piece of Sunny Side Bubble Bar.

I'm not a big fan of Bath Bombs, but they are always so tempting. Most of the Bath Bombs I have are from free gifts. I just don't like it when there are "things" inside of them that float around in your bath water. It grosses me out. I usually always put my bath bombs in an old stocking, just in case there are "things" inside of it, it won't be floating around in my bath water.

So that is my small Lush haul. But I walked away with lots of goodies to try.

1. How has your week been so far? Work has been super, super busy. I suffered from sinus pain and pressure last night and this morning. But its gone, for now. Otherwise, its been good. Diet wise, pretty good. I did hit up McDonald's drive through on my way to work today. Fast food always makes me feel a bit better. =) I also have plans for margaritas Friday after work. I recently read somewhere that frozen margaritas have more sugar in them than on the rocks. I don't drink them anyway.

2. Would you rather be stuck with -10 degree weather and snow the rest of your life or sun and 95 degrees? Why can't we just settle for nice, breezy, 70 degree weather? I think I'd take the 95 degrees. I live in south Louisiana, where it never snows. I would probably kill myself if it snowed all year long.

3. What’s on your nails? OPI Lincoln Park at Midnight

4. How far do you commute to get to work/school? 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic.

5. What kind of bag do you carry on a daily basis (purse, large tote, backpack, etc.)? During the week, I carry a small-ish, grey backpack for work. I keep a book, some magazines for continuing education, and things for work. I also use a pink reusable lunch bag. My purse is a navy Coach tote.

6. Are you crafty? What kinds of crafts do you do? I'm into scrapbooking, but I haven't nearly been as involved with it since I got a digital camera. I believe I should get back into it.

7. What is the best thing you can cook? My crawfish fettuccine alfredo is pretty tasty. I also bake a bad-ass white wine cake.

8. Are you good at math? Nope.

9. Do you take risks when it comes to your haircut or color? Not really. I stick to the same cut and blonde highlights. I would really like to get some hot pink or purple highlights around my face, but I don't think it would be appropriate for my line of work.

10. Ever heard of Sugarpill cosmetics? Yes, recently every blog or YouTube person is drooling over it. I personally have no desire to buy any. Neon eyeshadow isn't really my thing.

How was everyones weekend? Mine was low key; just how I like it. Yesterday, I went with my mom to Bass Pro Shops to pick up a birthday gift for my father. Its a table lamp with a bass and lilly pads on it. That's what he said he wanted for his birthday, so that's what he got. Then last night, the sheriff of my parish had an "Appreciation Party." So I went, got my dinner plate, ate with my family, mingled a little with the people, heard the band play a few songs, and then I went home. Which is where I would have preferred to stay all night, but I felt like I had a duty to be there.

I have spent today cleaning up. Spring cleaning, I guess. I also snapped a few random pictures to share with you.

First off my Lush stash. Its quite big, almost embarrassing, but I am proud of it. This is a bit on my dresser.

Shower gels, Massage Bars, Soaps...

And then I have bath products in a bag. Bubble Bars, Bath Bombs, Bath Melts.

They all needed a better home. So, most of this has moved in my bathroom now. I cut the Bubble Bars into pieces and store them in plastic bags.

A few things I'm loving.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Makeup Remover Wipes and Eye Makeup Remover Lotion.

I've never had makeup remover wipes, so I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't sure if it would really take off all of my makeup, but these do. I was surprised. I'm pretty sure I can totally go without washing my face after using these, but I still do.

The eye makeup remover lotion is wonderful. Barely any rubbing is needed when I use this. Since I've had LASIK, I have been looking for an eye makeup remover where I didn't have to rub my eyes so much, and this is it. It works wonderfully! It takes everything off, it even takes off waterproof mascara with a breeze. My previous makeup remover was from MAC (the pink bottle), and this Neutrogena one is much better.

Living Proof Full Thickening Cream

I was so excited to see this at my Sephora. I saw this on QVC back in the fall and by the time I decided to order it, it was sold out. And wasn't releasing back on QVC until March (I believe). Well, its at Sephora now and I had to scoop it up as quickly as possible.

I have super baby fine, thin hair. Nothing makes it thick and full looking. Most of the products that I use (Big Sexy Hair) make my hair super sticky and hard to comb through and hard to style, but they work good. This does the same, but makes my hair soft at the same time. I can actually brush it and style it with ease.

Supposedly, this was researched and developed by scientists at MIT. They developed some new polymer or something. I'm glad they did, because this is becoming HG material for me!

I am trying to put myself on a no lip product ban. And here is proof why I need to be on one.

But its so hard, with awesome new MAC collections and Lady Gaga having her own lipstick. I must be strong!

I thought I'd add on a "what's in my purse" at the end of this blog.

1. How has your week been so far? So far, its been good. I was off of work Tuesday, for Mardi Gras holiday, but I stayed home this year and did nothing. It was a bit chilly and I did not feel like being out in that cold weather all day long. Today was a bit busy at work. My legs feel very worn out at the moment.

2. Have you ever gone through an entire bottle of nail polish and bought a second of the same color? No, and I don't think I ever will. Unless you count bottles of base and top coat. In that case, I do have a backup of Seche Vite topcoat.

3. What’s on your nails? China Glaze Cowgirl Up, from the Rodeo Diva collection I believe from fall 2008. Its a nice metallic red-ish purple, in honor of Mardi Gras.

4. What are you reading right now? I started reading Alice in Wonderland, because its something I've never read before and figured I should since the movie is releasing soon. And I am a few chapters into one of The Vampire Diaries books, but I can't find up the initiative to finish reading it. Its got too many bizarre things going on in it.

5. Do you do pedicures in the winter? Yes, but I mostly do them myself.

6. Where do you paint your nails? In front of my computer, usually while watching YouTube videos.

7. What’s the last thing you bought? Monday I bought a burger and fries at the cafeteria at work (and suffered for it later). If we are talking makeup, I bought two LORAC lip glosses on Sunday.

8. Do you love it when we “spring forward” and it’s light out until 8:00-9:00 pm? No, hate it!

9. What is your favorite print or pattern (can be for clothing, furniture, or whatever)? I'm more of a solid color person, but I can appreciate a nice zebra print (but not for clothes!).

10. What are your two fav color combination’s? For me, eyeshadow-wise I like golds and greens. But in general, I like a light pink or teal paired with brown and red and black paired together.

small-ish Sephora haul

OK, let's face it, I'm single, and will probably always be single. I had no Valentine this year (not that I care). So on Sunday, Valentine's Day, I hung out with my parents. And to be honest, I'd probably rather hang out with my parents and family than any other people that I know.

We went to the mall, grocery, and went out to a nice dinner.

So of course, I went to Sephora. I actually stopped in for my aunt. She wanted me to pick up some Urban Decay 24/7 liners for her and NARS Night Clubbing eyeshadow. She used mine one day and fell in love, so I picked some up for her. Though, they aren't pictured here because they actually aren't mine.

I picked up LORAC 3D Multiplex lipgloss in Polished and Vivid and Tuscan Blood Orange body lotion by Pacifica. It was hanging out by the checkout line for only $5 and smelled good. It was defiantly an impulse buy.

These glosses are quite nice. I like the dimension it gives. Vivid is very nice. Its pink with a green-ish shimmer to it. Almost like MAC Lollipop Loving lipstick (which is a fav of mine).

This is a look I wore this weekend to go to a Mardi Gras parade. I usually only go to one or two parades a year because it is such a hassle. My parents drug me out on Mardi Gras every year until I was about 15, so I don't get all excited about going to parades anymore. If you plan on going downtown for parades, plan on being out ALL day and walking ALL day. Finding parking is such a hassle too. Basically, if you don't live on the parade route you have to get there at 6AM for a decent parking spot.

And not to mention, as the song says, "there ain't no place to pee on Mardi Gras day."

FOTD: Friday night of painting!

So there is this place called "Corks n Canvas: Painting With A Twist." This was in New Orleans, but I know there are a few others in the area. I'm sure there is something like it wherever you are. If not, your loss, because it is quite fun. The idea is your bring your own wine & snack foods and you paint. You start with a blank canvas and you leave with a complete painting. They supply the canvas, paints, brushes, and there is an instructor. I'm not a wine drinker myself, but there was a bar next door. So, I got to drink my drink of choice, Captain and Coke. My other drink of choice is vanilla vodka and Coke.

I decided to wear purples for that night, considering its Mardi Gras season and all!

My finished painting! Its not exactly like the model shown. You can see it in the background. But its damn good for my first stab at painting. I can't wait to go back and paint again!

"Mardi Gras Fleur di Leis"

I must say, when I was painting the black background, I blurted out "It's like putting makeup on!" And it really is. My blending skills were very helpful. And while I was trying to paint with this old raggedy brush, I was thinking "Man, I wish I had my MAC 239 and 209." LOL, I must have mental issues sometimes.

Oh, I cut and highlighted my hair. I much rather my hair about this length and this color. I was letting it grow so I could curl it and do nice things, but it was long enough and I never did anything with it. I was resorting to wearing my hair in a ponytail everyday to work. I HATE wearing my hair in a ponytail. I don't know why, but I do. So it was time to chop it off. I think she took off about 3 inches.

MAC Spring Forecast Haul & crappy customer service

Last night, I went over to the mall and checked out the Spring Forecast Collection. I originally didn't think I wanted anything. Then I saw everything on the MAC website and my list grew. Then I saw swatches on Temptalia and then I cut a few things from my list.

So I went to my MAC store after I got off of work. It was late, like 8:30pm. Now I know they were getting ready to shut down, but this is always the time I go to MAC. These two bitches that were working were so rude. There was one other customer in the store besides me and the two girls working were just talking to each other, complaining about something, and cleaning the counters. Not even paying attention to the customers. So I waited patiently for about 5 minutes. And neither one of them even looked up from what they were doing the entire time I was waiting. So I was getting impatient. Then my bitch self came out and said "uh, excuse me, I know what I want and I'm ready to check out." I hate being like that, but oh well.

I always go to the same MAC, usually at the same time of day, and always get great service. Well, not this time.

I picked up Straw Harvest and Very Violet eyeshadow. And as far as lipsticks, Victorian, Fresh Salmon, and Bubblegum. I will also be getting LaLa eyeshadow (the bright pink one) from winning the giveaway from Makeup by Kera.

I also ran to the little Lush section at Macy's to pick up B Electro shower gel. I love it. Its limited edition, so I'm debating on picking up another. But I really shouldn't. I have quite enough shower gels.

I don't like going to the Lush in Macy's. Everything is so crowded in the area and I feel I may knock over a section of bubble bars. The Lush store I usually go to is in another city that I'm not going to soon and I NEEDED this shower gel.

In my "quest" to "use what I have/shop my stash," I decided to use up all the things I don't like.

And Ghost shower gel from Lush was one of them.

This was released for Halloween. I honestly don't know why I bought it. I didn't really like the smell of it in the store. I didn't too much like the smell of it when I washed my hands with it in store. But I bought it anyway. And didn't like the smell of it in my shower. I guess it was the floral/lilly scent.

Nope. I would not repurchase this shower gel. And honestly, The Olive Branch shower gel is all I will ever need. =)...not really, I will still buy other shower gels, but The Olive Branch is a MUST HAVE!!!

Just incase you don't know, the New Orleans Saints are going to the Superbowl. And if you are from New Orleans, everything is black and gold and fleur di lis-ed out. Its ridiculous and I love. it.

In the 2006 season, the Saints made it to the playoff and my mother decided to paint the huge window on the front of our house. And this year is no different!

So for the past two weeks we were able to wear saints shirts, jerseys, and accessories to work. I rocked out all of my saints t-shirts and fleur di lis jewelry. Today I decided to do black and gold makeup to go with it.

Superbowl Sunday I plan on staying home to watch the game. I will not attempt to go into New Orleans to watch the game because it will be ridiculous. All the hotels are booked downtown and I just know it will be a hot mess down there. Just from watching New Orleans on TV during the NFC championship game, it was a crowded mess. So I can just imagine how it will be on Superbowl Sunday.

I am super excited for the Saints. I have been a Saints fan all my life and I was literally brought to tears two Sundays ago. It is also good for the city of New Orleans. The Sunday of the championship game there was no crime in the city reported. I think its amazing. Also the attitude of everyone in the city has changed. You don't greet people with a "hello." You greet people with a "WHO DAT!" Its amazing what a football team can do for a city.

In closing....the Saints ain't the Aints no more!

Crazy Cajuns!!

I haven't been in much of a mood to blog (i.e. me being lazy), but I did get this as an email and thought it was cute and I should share it with all of you.

A story of a cajun who died and went to hell.

The devil assigned him the usual punishment...put him in the mass pit where the heat was melting others. The devil came back sometime later surprised to find the Cajun just sitting around, not even misting, much less sweating. "How come you're not so much as sweating here where everyone else is screaming for relief from the heat?"

The Cajun laughed and said, "Man, I was raised in the bayous of Sout Looziana. Dis ain't nothin' but May in Lafayette to me!"

The devil decided to really put the Cajun through it. He put him in a sealed off cave in the pit with open blazes and four extra furnaces blasting. When he came back, days later, the Cajun was sitting pretty, had barely begun to bead up with sweat. The devil was outraged. "How is this possible!? You should be melted to a shrieking puddle in these conditions!.."

The Cajun laughed even harder than before.. "Hey, man! I done tole you. I was raised in Sout Looziana. You tink dis is heat?! Dis ain't nothin' but August in Jennings !"

So the devil thought, 'Alright, a little reverse ought to do the trick.' He put the Cajun into a corner of hell where no heat ever reached. It was freezing and to add to the Cajun's misery, he added massive icebergs and blasting frozen air. When he returned, the Cajun was shivering, ice hung from every part of him but he was grinning like it was Christmas.

Exasperated, the devil asked "HOW!? How is it possible?! You're impervious to heat and here you sit in conditions you can't be used to...freezing cold and yet you're happier than if you were in heaven. WHY?!"

The Cajun kept grinning and asked, "Dis mean de Saints won da Super Bowl?"

I can't stay away from Lush when there is an event. Period. End of story.

I did actually need most of this stuff. I was going to wait until next Saturday to go because they are having a One Year Anniversary Party with Retro products. Needless to say, I'm going to that, but I was in town, so I stopped anyway.

I needed Coal Face Cleanser and American Cream Conditioner. I also picked up 'Sugar Scrub' Sugar Scrub which is ginger and fennel scented. I also got a sample of Vanishing Cream Moisturizer and Dream Cream.

And my goodie bag included Snow Fairy Solid Perfume, a sample of Ocean Salt Scrub, a piece of Blue Skies & Fluffy White Clouds Bubble Bar, and Big Blue Bath Bomb.

I was most excited about Snow Fairy Solid Perfume and least excited about the Bath Bomb.

Bath Bombs just don't do anything for me. Bubble Bars are more my thing.

I guess I'll be posing another Lush haul next week...

A trend is being made. After work on Fridays I usually do something by myself. Whether it be go to Borders, get a coffee, and browse books...or go to MAC. This week was MAC. Actually I did both this week, I went to Borders on Wednesday.

Anyway, MAC had two collections I wanted to check out in person. Warm & Cozy and All Ages, All Races, All Sexes. I didn't want to touch that Lillyland collection with a 10 foot pole. Do not want. Nothing from Lillyland caught my eye. I personally think the colors are hideous and I never did like anything from Lily Pulitzer.

I hauled Universal Mix pigment, By Candlelight Mineralized Skin Finish, and Snob lipstick.

Ok, so I decided to compare. At first I thought By Candlelight and Porcelain Pink were very similar, but then I decided they aren't.

Hard Candy Honeymoon blush, Petticoat MSF, Porcelain Pink MSF w/HC Honeymoon above it, By Candlelight, and then Honeymoon again.

Hard Candy Honeymoon and MAC Porcelain Pink are pretty close.

The MUA at MAC also told me that there is going to be a "bright collection" coming up soon. Its all bright eye shadows she said that are more like "pro colors" and they will be available in refill pans as well as the little black compacts (the name escapes for that item at the moment). Anyway, she showed me what they had already...and I can't wait. There was this awesome gold color and "Lucky Green" which was AWESOME. I need Lucky Green now! I'm not sure if they are pro colors or not, or even if these are re-releases of previous shades. She said it releases at the end of January. I will definitely be on the lookout.

I have to admit that I have a serious problem. I am totally addicted to Criminal Minds now. First it was CSI: Miami and I was crushing on Horatio Cane. Then it was NCIS and I had a little thing for Gibbs and DiNozzo. Now, its Criminal Minds and I would have SSA Derek Morgan's babies. LOL, no really...I would. And SSA Hotchner has that business man thing going on and Dr. Reed has that sexy nerdy thing going on. Where are the real people like this?!? They are showing reruns on A&E and ION, along with the regular shows on CBS. My TiVo is filled up with these shows. Gah! Its ridiculous! But I love it!

I have also been debating on doing a collection post. I love reading blog posts and watching YouTube videos on them. Its something I will have to think more of. Or maybe I'll take all the pictures and whatnot and then really see what it would be like. I have a lot of makeup and its at that "embarrassing point." Sometimes I think about doing a blog sale. But I don't have a lot of followers so who would see it and would people buy? I don't know. Then I'd have to deal with PayPal and the post office. :/ Seems like a lot of hassle, but I personally like blog sales. And sometime I just feel like giving it away.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Its ridiculously cold here in South Louisiana. RIDICULOUS!!!! I'm busy *trying* to stay warm.

Its 2010! Happy New Year! and yep I know I'm late in saying that.

Oh, how I love lazy Sunday nights. Curling up by the fireplace, watching reruns of Criminal Minds on A&E, and wishing that SSA Derek Morgan/Shemar Moore would come save me from a serial killer. I think he is one beautiful man.

While I was searching for some pics to post one here, I went to his profile on imdb...He is almost 40 years old! I would have never guessed that. He looks good for his age. Anyway, I rather him bald, so there are no pictures of him with hair on here! I also couldn't find a nice one without his shirt...oh well.

Anyway, I'll get on with things. While watching Criminal Minds tonight, I decided I would do a "Top 10" of my favorite things from 2009.

1. Urban Decay Primer Potion
What can I possibly say that has not already been said about this stuff? I've tried many other eyeshadow primers, but they can't touch UDPP.

2. Cargo Oil-Free Foundation
I first tried this out in the summer to replace my beloved MAC Studio Fix Fluid. MAC SFF was a bit too heavy for me in the hot summer months and the SA at Sephora recommended this Cargo foundation to me and I love it. Its lightweight and it covers well and it hasn't broke me out. All great things to say about this foundation!

3. MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Perfect Topping from Sugarsweet Collection
This is my favorite highlighter. It adds a nice sheen on top of any blush and highlights perfectly for my skin tone.

4. Too Faced Lip of Luxury lipstick in Free Love
I think I first discovered this lipstick sometime in the spring. Its a beautiful nude/pink color. I think that this one is a bit less pink than MAC Angel lipstick (which I also love).

5. Lush Dark Angels Cleanser/Lush Coalface Cleanser
I have really fell in LOVE with Lush this year. I alternate between these two cleansers every day. They are both great for oily skin and have not made me break out. Dark Angels is pretty comparable to MAC Volcanic Ash Exfoliator, but a lot more messy and more readily available.

6. Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion
My HG moisturizer! I use the lotion from the Acne line. I have used this for about 1 1/2 years and have seen a visible difference in my skin since I started using it. My skin is more hydrated, fewer breakouts, and the blackheads on my nose seem less noticeable.

7. YSL Faux Cils Mascara
I haven't used this mascara all year. I just purchased it during Sephora's F&F sale, but I will definitely be buying again. I love how it makes my lashes look and it doesn't flake on me.

8. Lush Comforter Bubble Bar
I have never really been a "bath girl" as much as I have been a "shower girl." But once I discovered Lush's Bubble Bars I have been more of a "bath girl." And I've tried just about all the bubble bars at my Lush store, Comforter is my favorite. Not only does it smell wonderful, I think you get more Bubble Bar for your buck.

9. MAC Seriously Hip and Baby Goth Girl Nail Lacquer
These two were released with MAC Style Black Collection. In the bottles they are two beautiful green/black and purple/black nail polishes. But on the nails they look almost just like black polish. But that's what I like. I rather have polishes that look black but really aren't.

10. Miss Dior Cherie
I have bought quite a few new perfumes this year, but Miss Dior Cherie is one of my favorites that I have bought this year. Its pretty strong (which I like) and lasts a long time. I can put this on around 10:30 am and people still ask me what perfume I'm wearing at 8pm.

I'm pretty sure thats MAC Crystal, UD Ecstasy, and MAC Graphology, with Stila Smudge Pot in Little Black Dress on lash line.

As far as anything else I used, totally clueless.

I will say that in these up close and personal pictures, my lower lash line looks like a hot mess, but from far way it looks nice.

holiday week hauling

So, I decided to hit up a few stores yesterday. I had a few quick last minute gifts I needed to pick up and, of course, pick up some things for me.

I first went to Ulta. I had three separate coupons to use: my reward coupon (the quarterly one), a $5 off $10 purchase, and 20% off your entire purchase. I knew I couldn't do them all on one ticket so I had it set in my mind to have three separate purchases. Now I used to work in retail and I remember doing multiple tickets on the same customer. Well, not at Ulta. I was able to use the 20% off and the reward coupon, but that was my limit. One ticket per customer with Ulta. And the cashier wasn't very tactful about telling me either. She kept making comments about the things I was purchasing and about her coworkers and customers in the store. It took everything in me to not turn into "Ghetto Cinderella" and get stupid with her. Believe me I can turn into "Ghetto Cinderella" real quick. I'm sure you know what I mean...that customer. Anyway, I took my purchases and got out of there.

And after she is all rude to me, she wants to comment on my purse and tell me how nice it is. :/ I don't roll like that. So I said nothing and walked out.

The eye makeup remover was free and its probably crap anyway. I picked up the Ulta Professional eye primer to see how that works out.

Now I already have Lincoln Park At Dark, but I had to pick up Lincoln Park At Midnight because it had a little bit of shimmer going on. Holiday Glow is a beautiful plum-ish color with gold sparkles in it, which makes the overall color look a little taupe/brown-ish, but I like it. An Affair in Red Square is part of a gift for my aunt. She loves all things red so I got her the polish to go along with her gift.

I'm all about volumizing mascaras so I'm going to give Rimmel The MAX mascara a shot.

There is a new store in town called "Charming Charlie" and it is ridiculous. Its great. It is full of accessories and other greatness.
I picked up these flip-flops there.

And also this skull and crossbones necklace. I have earrings similar to this. Ever since I've became an x-ray tech I have a thing for skulls.

I finally got my hands on Talladega Nights! We constantly quote this movie at work and I just had to have it. My favorite scene is when they are saying grace. With all the "little baby Jesus" openings.

My favorite is when Cal describes his Jesus: "I like to think of Jesus with giant eagles wings and he's singing lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with an angel band. And I'm in the front row and I'm hammered drunk."

I also had a book haul.

I'm off to the other mall today to exchange an item and stop at the evil Wal Mart to pick up some things for family time on Christmas Eve.

I have always tried to find a smokey eye for me, but could never perfect it. It always came out to shimmery or to dark for my skin tone or the grey/silver ended up looking blue-ish.

I wore this Saturday night. Since our hospital (along with many others) didn't do a big Christmas party, we decided to get together for dinner. It was just about 15 people that I work with, so it was very nice.

In addition to doing a smokey eye, I also used some Big Sexy Hair Root Pump. And I will say that my roots were pumped. I have very baby fine, thin hair so its always just straight and with no body at all. I am a big Big Sexy Hair fan, I love all their products and they all work wonderfully.

I'm on vacation from work this week, so I have lots of time on my hands. In addition to doing nothing on my time off, I plan on working on my Rosetta Stone. I bought it in Spanish for Latin America. There are quite a few times a day when Spanish would be useful for work.

Is everyone ready for Christmas? I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be. My parents have been doing "open house" for 30 years, so I'm helping my mother prepare for that since I'm off. I haven't been to enjoy it in about 3 years since I started working the evening shift.

I really wasn't planning on getting anything from this small MAC collection. I wasn't planning on going into a MAC store anytime soon. But I went to dinner and shopping with my friend last night and she stopped in MAC. So, yeah, I have no willpower.

I picked up a backup of Feline Kohl Power since it was re-released with this collection. I also got Sense of Style Kohl Power and Hypnotizing eyeshadow.

I wanted to get the Lipglass in Icescape, but it was similar to so many other glosses I have already.

I had a pretty crappy work week last week. It was all over the map. Thursday was the worst. So after I got off of work Thursday night I drove right over to MAC and picked up some items from the Baroque Boudoir. Yes, I know its pricey...but oh, so worth it. Like as in I think I NEED backups.

I picked up Prive lipstick, Preciousness lipglass, The Lap of Luxury lipglass, and an eye makeup remover. I decided to try out an eye makeup remover from MAC. I really need a good one. So I can quit the consistent rubbing on my eyes. Considering I dropped big bucks on LASIK eye surgery and I shouldn't really be rubbing sooo much. And to help prevent wrinkles.

Prive is like...a better version of Angel. Now don't get me wrong, I love Angel. It's one of my "can't live withouts" but I like Prive better. But Angel is permanent. So in other words, I must get a backup of Prive.

These lipglasses are really nice, but they are not must haves for me. Preciousness is nice on its own and over Prive. I haven't had a chance to use The Lap of Luxury, but I'm sure it is really nice.

And speaking of LASIK eye surgery, I'm thinking of making a blog post about my LASIK experience. Because, believe me when I say, it was an EXPERIENCE. Would anyone be interested in that?

I hope everyone is doing well. Its Sunday night, the end of a weekend and the start of a new week. I hope this week isn't as bad as last week. At least the New Orleans Saints won!!! 12-0! Who Dat Baby!!!

FOTD: a little bit of Aromaleigh

I started to follow Fresco Phyrra a while back and she is all about the mineral makeup. I recently ordered a bunch of samples from Aromaleigh, by her recommendation. I have never dived into the world of mineral makeup before. I figured I would start off with eyeshadows. I'm still a little clumsy with them since they are loose shadows. But I am very surprised so far. I can see myself buying more in the future.

This is what I wore to work on Friday. I was in a bit of a rush yesterday morning so I went for something simple. I paired Aromaleigh's "Ivy" Satin Petals Frost eyeshadow with MAC "Vex" eyeshadow. Ivy looked like a green/grey/taupe color in the little bag so I thought it would pair well with "Vex." But once I blended it out a bit, it looks more grey. Its still turned out very nice.

On this Thanksgiving Day, I'm thankful for MAC Juxt, Swimming, and Humid eyeshadow. I kid. I kid. Not really though. I am thankful for my family and the life they have given me and the health of myself and family. I am thankful that I have a job and all the other usual mushy stuff everyone is thankful for (and I mean it from the bottom of my heart). I am also thankful for Taylor Lautner and Starbucks White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha. :)

I am thankful for my mother telling me that she could tell I lost some weight.

At this moment, I am thankful for the manufacturers of Zantac, considering I am in a carbohydrate coma at the moment. Since I have been following the South Beach Diet, I have not been eating much carbs (as in rice and pasta and potatoes). Well today was totally shot. Considering ALL the food I ate today were favorites: my grandma's oyster rice dressing, my uncle's mac and cheese, and my aunt's sweet potato crunch. I overloaded on the mac and cheese. We didn't start eating until about 1pm and now its close to 10pm and I'm still stuffed! I am definitely reverting back to Phase 1, STAT!

FOTD: inspired pinks and purples

I normally draw inspiration from others FOTD's. I haven't been inspired to try anything from anyone in a while. I recently started following A Brilliant Brunette and drew inspiration from her FOTD found here. Although, her look is a bit brighter and pinker than mine, its still inspired by her.

All of these colors I used for this FOTD I have not touched in months. It was nice to go back to those colors. I was also a bit too lazy to grab a second eyeliner for my top lash line so I just opted to use the same liner as on the bottom lash line. It gave it a different look than I usually go for. I think if I do this look again I will definitely use a black eyeliner for my top lash line.

Sephora Friends & Family Haul - picture heavy

Yep. I got quite a bit. And I held myself back. Some of the things I wanted were sold out, so I guess that's a good thing. I did make two orders though...

First order, I bought things I needed to get backups of and things I knew that I wanted.

First is YSL Rouge Volupte 1 - Nude Beige
Very nice color, but so incredibly soft. And not so great of a smell.

Benefit Powderflage
I have been wanting to try this since it came out. I am glad that I got it, but I'm not sure if it is something that I will repurchase. I am primarily using it to set my under eye concealer. It does brighten the under eye area a bit.

Korres Jasmine Butter Duo To Go
I love the way the body butter smells. The lip butter is amazing too.

Backups of my tried and true products.

CARGO Oil Free Foundation - This is going to be my second tube of this stuff. It gives very nice coverage without being too much. This was my "summer" foundation. I went into Sephora early in the summer and said "I want a foundation that isn't so heavy but NOT a tinted moisturizer." I was first lead to MUFE HD and I told them "Nope. Got it. Don't like it." Then I was lead to this and its pretty good.

Murad Oil-Control Mattifier - This stuff is great. Period. End of story. I use this on the more oily-er places before primer.

Urban Decay Primer Potion - Do I even need to explain myself on that one?

I also got Shishedo Mascara Base. This is my first ever time trying a mascara base and I'm not feeling the extra step. I'd rather pay the little extra for a better mascara.

Then, I did a second order of things I really didn't need, but wanted.

I decided on getting Philosophy Purity from Sephora. I usually buy the jumbo size from QVC. It was cheaper for me to get this size with the F&F sale and free shipping than the jumbo from QVC where you have to pay for shipping.

I also bought a small tube of Bliss Body Butter in Orange & White Pepper. It is a decent cream. I like the size. I can keep it in my scrub pocket at work.

Benefit Dandelion Luminizer
I guess this is supposed to be a highlighter, but I'm light enough I make it work as a blush. I really like it. It has a nice, noticable scent when you open the box.

This is some great mascara. Expensive. But great.

Again, great, super soft, and a nasty ass scent.

I find that these are just average eyeshadows. If the shadows in this palette are anything like the shadows in her other palettes, I will not be buying any. I find there is nothing special about them.

All in all, I got the things I wanted and would eventually need. I would say this was a good haul. But then again, I never have a bad haul. Because at that moment, it was what I wanted, and it made me happy.

weekend haulings...

What do I normally do on the weekends? Shop.

I stopped at MAC on Friday and picked up the Sorceress Palette, Boy Bait Creamsheen, and Light Blot Powder. I never bought any of the Creamsheen's before. But I took it off the recommendation from one of my favorite MA's at MAC. He loves it. So I should love it too, right? Its alright. It gives a nice shine, no color really. Its nice, but I don't need to have three backups. I also decided to get the Sorceress Palette because I really like purple eye shadows. They are all nice colors. They grey shade in this palette makes it all worth it. Its a nice grey color with a green sheen to it. I haven't seen a color similar. And Blot Powder. I needed it.

Lush. Period. End of story.
I can't go near the store without stopping in and buying something. I even plan when I will go. I'm going to go Saturday/Halloween for an event, just to get the goody bag.

Here I got Karma Kream and The Soft Touch Body Butter (i think that's what its called). And today, when you spend over $40, you get a free Bubble Bar. So, of course, I got my favorite, The Comforter.

The scent "Karma" has really grown on me. I didn't like it at first, then I got a sample of the soap. It was alright. Then got a free Bubble Bar...wasn't so bad. Then, I put a little of the lotion on my hands, walked around the store, and decided it was a really nice scent after all and walked out the store with a pot of the lotion.

I am thinking of getting the fragrance soon.

Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Nothing exciting. A closet shoe organizer (because I'm *planning* on organizing my closet soon-ish) and slim line hangers.
Those hangers are super nice. Take my word for it. No shirts slipping off hangers anymore!

Ulta. Mario Badescu. I'm gonna give him a shot. Silver Powder for the blackheads that plague my nose and cheeks and Special Cucumber Lotion for a toner.

Made a stop at Target for some random things.
Picked up a Sonia Kashuk Rounded Crease Brush. Its like a shorter, stubbier version of the MAC 226 and a larger version of MAC 219.

For reference I'm a plus size gal.

I picked up this top at Target. Its a "burnout" shirt. So I definitely need to wear a camisole under this shirt. I got it in the grey/black color. There was also a brown/tan in this pattern. And then two zebra print ones, a purple one and a blue one. I was tempted to get the blue zebra, put I passed. And also some random print ones, but passed on those.

Of course you have to stop at Lane Bryant. There was a special going on, buy 2 tops get 1 free. And I had a coupon, $25 off $75.

Since it never really gets cold here, just a lightweight sweater is good for me. I have a black one and a white one from last year, and a red one from the year before.

So I picked up a few more winter "staples" for me.

MAC Holiday 2009 Haul

After I got off of work Friday, I stopped at the mall to check out the holiday items at MAC. I went in already knowing what I wanted. But I did get two items I wasn't planning on also. I also got two of the super cute gift bags. I don't think anyone will be getting any gifts in those this year. I'll probably find another use for them.

I knew I wanted two of the eyeshadow palettes. Mystic Cool and Devil May Care. I think they both offer some unique colors.

My pictures aren't that great, but the last row isn't that dark.

So of course, I got it.

FOTD with Stila's Little Black Dress

So, one day last week I was bored at work and decided to browse Sephora's website. I was really wanting the Stila Barbie palette, but I think I'm late on that. It's all sold out. I didn't really *need* it anyway.

There were also a few Smudge Pot's released with the Barbie collection. There was a blue one and a purple one, both looked awesome. And a black with pink glitter called "Little Black Dress"...right up my alley. I personally would only use those brighter colors on my lower lash line and I have more than enough brightly colored pencil liners for that.

I just HAD TO have "Little Black Dress." I wanted to wait for the Friends & Family sale...but I just couldn't. So I got off of work and went over to my local Sephora and picked it up.

I have never tried any of Stila's Smudge Pot. And I must say, they are pretty awesome. Once its applied, its good to go. I am definitely going to check out a few other colors on my next trip to Sephora.

MAC Style Black Nail Polishes

I have fallen in love with two of the polishes from the Style Black collection: Seriously Hip and Baby Goth Girl. I like these polishes because they look black but really aren't. I prefer that type of polish to just black polish.

I was surprised because I have a few MAC nail polishes and I don't care for them all that much. But these are a different story. Basically one coat gets the job done, with no streaks. I still use two coats though. I guess its just habit.

So I toyed around with the idea of getting backups of these two polishes. But then I thought "Do I really need them?" The answer is no. I don't. I will probably never get to the end of these bottles anyway.

Then I started to think if I had any similar colors in my nail polish collection already. And I do. Somethings very similar.

I apologize for the swatches, they are really bad. But you get the idea.

In the bottles comparing Baby Goth Girl and I'm With Brad you notice they don't really look similar. One is clearly purple and the other is clearly red. But in swatches you can't really tell the difference.

Seriously Hip and Wagon trail look very similar in the bottles. Wagon Trail was a color from China Glaze's 2008 fall collection, Rodeo Diva. I have quite a few colors from that collection that I love. And in this particular swatch, Rodeo Diva is a little thicker, but you can tell well enough that they are similar.

So the answer is no, I do not need backups of these two MAC polishes. When and if I ever run out of them, I know I already have something very similar.

I will say the only real difference is that in these two MAC polishes they seem to have a more sparkly/glitter effect than the others. And that's no big deal to me.

Also, a question for you. My hands and nails take a beating at work from all the hand washing I do. And my nails are very "peely." Do any of you know of any tips or tricks to help strengthen nails? I don't necessarily want them to grow longer, but I would like for them to grow stronger.

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

FOTD: Tardy for the Party

Currently, as I am writing this, my iTunes has "Tardy for the Party" on repeat. I love "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" and when Kim played her song at her birthday party, I kinda liked it. So I looked for it on iTunes and I just had to download it and it is now my current ringtone. Its constantly stuck in my head now.

Last night I went out in New Orleans. It was one of my girlfriends birthday, so we did it big. We got a hotel downtown, went eat at Margaritaville, went play bingo (cause that's how we do), and went out to a very nice nightclub.

I wanted to use some of my Style Black stuff, especially "Young Punk." I still used it, but not as I had originally planned. It was still alright.

MAC Style Black Haul - picture heavy

Sooo, I have hauled quite a bit since Sunday. Its a shame really, and its just about all MAC.

First I'll start off with Ulta. I picked up a small size of Redken Guts, its a volumizing mousse, NYX eye pencil in Milk, and two OPI polishes.

And then I made my way over to Victoria's Secret because I wanted to get the Kohl liner from the Christian Siriano line. I picked that up and lipstick called "Satin Sheets." I love the Dream Angels "Heavenly" scent and there was a new scent called "Heavenly Enchanted" so I just had to get it. I love the way it smells and the packaging and bottle are very nice. I also got a free set of travel makeup brushes, which are crap and will never use.

I also had to get my stock of anything "Leaves" scented from Bath & Body Works. The 3 wick candles were two for $20. So I had to get those. I also picked up some Wallflowers and a room spray.

And now onto MAC. I didn't really think I would like anything from the Style Black collection except for the nail polishes, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I went on Sunday and walked away with Seriously Hip and Baby Goth Girl nail polishes, the Greasepaint Stick, Blackfire Glimmerglass, Volcanic Ash Exfoliator and Thermal Mask. I also got My Favorite Pink Dazzleglass Creme.

I like how the Greasepaint Sick come with a sharpener to use it as an eyeliner.

So far I've only used each of the Volcanic Ash items once and I'm not that thrilled about them. I don't see why people are needing backups of this. I find that the exfoliator is similar to Lush's Dark Angels. So I'll stick to that. And the mask is just meh to me.

I passed up on the shadows on Sunday. I didn't even swatch one because I didn't want to be pulled into wanting them all! But on Wednesday I went to the mall to look for something to wear this weekend. I stopped into MAC for a quick look at the D Squared collection because I wanted to get one of the Sculpt & Shape Powders. And it was right next to the Style Black display so I swatched the gold one and decided I needed it in my life. I also picked up Gleam eyeshadow while I was there, because I have been meaning to pick it up for a while.

And so I get home swatch "Guilt By Association" and I was in love! And then I used a brush and put it on my eyelid and it was beautiful. And then I decided I needed the purple one because the shirt I bought to go out this weekend is purple.

I couldn't go back to the same MAC store, so tonight I went to the one in Dillard's at the same mall. I bought "Young Punk" and "V" Greasepaint Stick from the D Squared collection.

I need to lay off the hauling for a little while. But it probably won't last.

my take on project 5 pan

I have seen on YouTube and read on different blogs about Project 10/5 Pan. I want to do this but I think it is impossible for me to do it. So instead of makeup, I am taking it to another thing I buy constantly: bath and body products.

I cannot walk by a Bath & Body Works without picking up something. Or Lush, I definitely can't even walk near the store. I have too many body washes and body lotions, it is ridiculous. I would take a picture of my box of body products but that really would not get them all. I have about three bottles in the shower, two by the bathtub, and quite an assortment in a drawer in my dresser. I also have a whole other box dedicated to Lush items.

So in an attempt to use up what I have, I will start myself on "Project 5 Bottle."

I must use up at least five bottles of any type of body product before I can buy another. Whether it be body lotion, body wash, or any other thing similar.

I will keep this blog updated with the status of my "Project 5 Bottle."

This may be helpful with hair styling products. I constantly buy hair products for volumizing, but never get through the entire bottle before I find something else to try. So I may have two "Project 5 Bottle" going on. One for bath and body items and the other for hair items.

So now I'm off to take a nice Lush Bubble Bar bath to start using up some of my supply. And then I'm off to watch the season premiere of The Hills. I'm kind of excited for Kristin to be back. I was getting a little sick of Lauren, I always thought she was a bit boring.

There are so many TV shows that I watch, its hard to keep up. Thank goodness for TiVo!

This is what I wore on Sunday to go check out the Style Black collection. When I finished with all my makeup, I felt as if I were channeling a leprechaun for some reason, but I let it be. I got a few compliments on it throughout the day. And just now when I uploaded the pictures, it didn't look half as bad as I thought it did.

I have been really wanting to use some of the new Starflash shadows that had recently came out. It had been a while since I wore green eyeshadow so I started with the eyeshadow "One-Off" and I found it to be a little too bright for a crease color. So I added a little "Humid" eyeshadow and it turned out to be ok.

I am also kinda loving the Greasepaint stick...I may need another one.

Oh and since my last post I have used Sandstone soap from Lush, and I don't really like it. The sand part is just a little too rough. I may cut that part off and just use the soap. I will definetly not be repurchasing that one.

random haul

Last weekend I went shopping with my mother and her friends. Its crazy because I have more in common with them than I do with my friends.

Like one of them is also addicted to Lush, so we had to make a stop there. I didn't get too much because I have a whole lot of stuff to use up already. So I just picked up a few things.

I got Sandstone soap, Joy of Jelly shower jelly, and Business Time massage bar.

I haven't used Sandstone yet, but I love the way it smells. Very lemon-y, citrus-y.

I love Business Time! I think its my favorite massage bar that I've tried yet!

I have used the shower jelly a few times and I like the idea of it, but I don't like the scent I got. Joy of Jelly is a little too "old lady" perfume-y to me. I will definitely get a shower jelly again, but in a different scent.

I also picked up my favorite concealer from Prescriptives. Site Unseen Brightening Concealer. All of my local counters are always out of this and the one I went to this was the last one. And with word of Prescriptives being discontinued I need to stock up on it. Actually I need to stock up on all of my favorite Presriptives items.

I also stopped in at Bath & Body Works because my all time favorite scent is out and that is Leaves. I love the way it smells! I bought two of the oils and six of the hand soaps. I already have about five oils and three candles. The hand soaps were new and also body lotions and body wash. I didn't pick up the lotion or wash...yet.

Of course I had to stop in at Sephora. I picked up Dark Room nail polish and Burberry Brit perfume. Dark Room is a very dark green. Its really almost black. I think I prefer those types of dark polishes rather than just straight up black.

Then we all stopped by Bed Bath & Beyond. My local store sells cosmetics and medicines and different stuff. Like drug store items. And with all the 20% off coupons we have collected, I think its a good deal.

Let me start off by saying Maybelline Great Lash Big is my new favorite mascara of the moment.

I have a thing for tarts and candle warmers at the moment. And this a really awesome scent.

Essie Cute As A Button nail polish. It is very similar to Sephora for OPI How Cute Is That? nail polish that I already have...but oh well.

I have no comments on that. I just had to have them for skull nail stickers. Oh and the Fleur di lis ones too.

I picked up Rimmel lipsticks in Crush and Vintage.

Crush looks crazy on me but Vintage is my new favorite.

With all this talk about "Project 10/5 Pan" I thought about doing that too, but I decided that was next to impossible for me. So I made up my own "Operation: Don't Spend Money on Foolish Shit" I think I did ok. Ok well maybe the nail stickers were a bit foolish, but whatever. I'll use them.

I am trying to cut back on my makeup purchases because I already have so much. But with the new MAC collections that just came out I feel as if I need to take a look. I might go later this afternoon or tomorrow. I feel like I need Dazzleglass Cremes because I love the original Dazzleglasses. And Style Black. I need to check it out and I have to get my hands on the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator and the Thermal Mask. And probably the nail polishes too. And maybe one of the glimmer glasses. The eyeshadows do nothing for me because they are mineralized and I don't do black eyeshadows often. And I think the NARS Night Series eyeshadows are similar and I have a few of those already.

I understand that I am hopeless.

1. I am an only child. And I see nothing wrong with being an only child.

2. I have an uncontrollable obsession with anything dealing with Disney's The Little Mermaid. I have a collection of Little Mermaid things that is out of hand.

3. Nora Roberts is my guilty pleasure. Those books are so predictable and I find that they are basically all the same but I can't get enough of them.

4. I have a fear of being stuck under an interstate overpass. Its strange but it stems from a dream I had. I was under an overpass at a red light and it collapsed on me. I still try to avoid them but its not a big deal if I do get to a red light at one...I just get kind of nervous and feel a little anxious and then it passes once I leave.

5. I love cold weather! It is always super hot and muggy in southern Louisiana so I love the cold when it comes.

6. I have a thing for New Orleans rap. Big Tymers, Lil Wayne, Master P, Juvinile, Birdman...love em. Know all the words to their songs.

7. Just about everyone I know that has read Twilight has read it because of me. I am called the 'literary crack dealer' now.

8. Speaking of Twilight, I have already put in my time off request to be off when New Moon comes out. I took off to see Twilight, so I am going to do it for all the movies.

9. I sometimes think I could be on the TV show Hoarders. Believe me when I say that I am NOTHING like the people on that show, but I very well could be. I have a problem throwing away things but I eventually do. I may go through things three times before I decide to throw it away. But I am very organized with the things I keep. And I may just be giving excuses for my "hoarding tendencies" but my grandparents on both sides have problems throwing things away. So it may be genetic, LOL.

10. When I was growing up I always wanted to be a mortician/funeral director. I don't know why.

I have always used a little something on my brows to give them a little color, because if I don't it kind of looks like I don't have any brows. My eyebrows are so blonde they just blend in with my skin color.

When I first started out with makeup I was mostly all Clinique, so I used Clinique's Brow Keeper. I liked it and still use the little bit I have left whenever the mood strikes. Its a softer eyebrow pencil with a spoolie thing on the other end. One drawback is that it has to be sharpened. I liked this one because it seemed like since it was softer (I think of it as more of a waxy/gel type consistency), it coated your eye brow hair and it didn't have me thinking that I was drawing on my eyebrows.

Then I discovered MAC, so I gave their eyebrow pencil a try. I liked this one because you didn't have to worry about sharpening it and its a tiny little tip so you can make it look like real eyebrows. But I went through this stuff like it was no body's business.

I also gave Anastasia Brow Powder Duo a short try because I wanted to try the powder alternative but I don't really like it. To me it just doesn't look finished, so I'd always go back in with my MAC eyebrow pencil and finish it up.

So then I decided to give my mom's 'old faithful' a try. My mom has like two eyebrow hairs so she has to draw hers on daily. She has been using Maybelline Expert Wear brow pencils forever. They are only about three dollars and you get two small pencils in one pack. So she gave me one to try. I do like it, but its does have a few drawbacks. First, it has to be sharpened and then its a hard pencil. I usually warm it up in my hands for a few seconds but it doesn't really help. I like it, but its not really wow-ing me at the moment.

So I think that once I'm done with the MAC and Maybelline pencils I will go back to the Clinique one. I was really hoping that the Maybelline one would work out for me since it is so much cheaper and has been working out for my mom for so many years.

I am still open to others.

Urban Decay Haul

Twitter has become very useful lately. As is making me spend money. I follow Urban Decay and I read one of their 'tweets' (I think that's a funny word) about a Book of Shadows Vol. II. I don't know if you remember, but I remember the greatness that was the first Book of Shadows. I still love it dearly and use it often. So I just had to get my greedy little paws on it. So I placed an order online.

I picked up their Book of Shadows Vol. II and their Pore Perfecting Primer.

First I'll start off with the book of shadows. I haven't used any of the shadows yet. I have pulled it out everyday this week, looked at it, thought of some good combinations to use, but put it back because I don't want to mess it up. I know, lame. But all of the shadows look wonderful and not too many of them look like glitter overload. I'll just have to break the ice and use it tomorrow. Or the next day.

If you remember the one from last year, then you remember the nonsense that was going on in it. With the pop-up flowers and stuff under the top lid. Well this one has a top lid with a 'look book'-type deal going on. Its a lot more useful than pop-ups.

I also picked up the Pore Perfection Primer. Oh. My. God. Where has this stuff been all my life? Seriously. This stuff is great. This makes my foundation look perfect and keeps it that way. It does not come off. And usually my face is all oily after about 2 hours, but nope. Not with this stuff. It lasts all day. This is most definitely Holy Grail material. I have only been wearing it for four days and no breakouts...yet. Hopefully there won't be any.

Also through Twitter, Urban Decay 'tweeted' an offer code for a makeup bag filled with a few goodies. Its a small purple bag filled with a full size Midnight Cowboy eyeshadow, full size Big Fatty mascara, and a small 24/7 Eye Pencil in Bourbon.

And I will probably do what I did to the first Book of Shadows...is 'de-book' it.

But I probably won't do that for a while because I want to enjoy the prettiness of it for a little while. Then the packaging will get old and the whole thing will be too big.

Candles by Victoria Haul

I have seen all the hauls by everyone and their momma on YouTube about these candles and how great they were, so I figured it was about time for me to see how great they were. I love that Candles By Victoria has an unheard of amount of scents. If you want it, I bet she's got it. I especially like all the LUSH dupes, since I am now kind of addicted to LUSH.

And they are pretty nice. I am especially loving the Scent Shots. I think I prefer using the Scent Shots than an actual candle. I have a few candle warmers around the house so they are perfect. Especially since I'm kinda lazy; I don't have to worry about trimming the wicks. :) Using a candle/tart warmer is a bit safer too...no open flame to worry about.

Everything was packaged real nice and neat. There were more popcorn things on top too. They made sure to package well so nothing would break on the way.

I got the No Frills Sampler Pack with 6 8oz candles. I love all of the scents I picked out.

LUSH haul and obsessions

I have a problem. I am now totally addicted to LUSH. Bubble Bars mostly. I realize I need to stop.

I went to the event at my local store on Saturday and loaded up on Bubble Bars. I am totally not a bath person (I'm more of a shower person), but since I have been introduced to Bubble Bars I just can't get enough.

And since I RSVP'ed to the event I got a free Shampoo Bar. I don't know which one it is. I told the sales associate that I wanted "the one that makes blonde hair blonder" and this is the one she gave me. I only knew of that one because we talked about it the last time I was in the store. And since I spent enough money I got a free Karma Bubble Bar.

I'll also let you in on another obsession in my life, besides the makeup, LUSH, and the like. I am also just a tad bit obsessed with anything dealing with The Little Mermaid. I have an ungodly amount of Little Mermaid things. And I stopped into the Hallmark store yesterday to take a look at all their Christmas ornaments. Because I always, ALWAYS, pick up The Little Mermaid one that they have every year. So needless to say...

Maybe one day I'll post some pictures of my Little Mermaid collection. Its almost out of hand.

I more than likely would have lined my lower waterline with some black eyeliner, but considering I just had eye surgery two weeks ago, I skipped that step today.

I also did my hair today with a three barrel curling iron. I love my hair like this. I wish it would look like this daily, but unfortunately, it does not. I would do it daily, if it didn't take about twenty minutes or more to do. But its a nice change.

That's one of the best pictures I could get of my hair, but you get the idea. Hopefully, it'll still look good enough in the morning for me to wear it again tomorrow!

Zoya Nail Polishes

About two weeks ago I received my Zoya Polishes from their Twitter giveaway. I guess you can call it that. When they reached 5000 followers on Twitter they gave a code for three free polishes on their site.

I have only worn Flora on my nails so far. And it lasted about three days before it started chipping. And I have super peely nails. I also wash my hands constantly at work, and this polish lasted.

I did use China Glaze Base Coat and Seche Vite Top Coat, which I always use with any other polish.

I didn't post any swatch pics because my hands and nails don't' look the best, from the consistent hand washing at work.

MAC & Lush Haul

I had a day off this week. And what do I do on my days off...go shopping. Everything is so less crowded in the middle of the week, so its a nice change.

I did have a reason for going, I had a post-op eye doctor appointment. Two weeks after having LASIK, I now have 20/20 vision. Or I was able to make out the letters on the 20/20 line, and the doctor says that's very good. And my vision will keep improving within the next three-six months.

I also had to buy a gift for a baby shower this weekend and do some grocery shopping. But, I also stopped at the mall. I went to Sephora first. It was very nice with barely anyone in there. But I didn't pick up anything there.

I went to the MAC store and, amazingly, only picked up two things. Photorealism Quad and Purple Showers eyeshadow. I am love with both of them. That's the only two things I really wanted from this new collection. I'm thinking of going back for Maira's Mood Eyeshadow, but I don't really need it, as I don't wear pink eyeshadows frequently.

I went to the Lush store only wanting to pick up The Olive Branch Shower Gel, because basically it is the best smelling shower gel in the world. It is delicious. I asked if there was anything else that smelled similar to The Olive Branch and I was led to Pop In The Bath Bubble Bar. I rarely take a bath, I'm more of a shower girl, but still I bought it. I also bought Creamy Candy Bubble Bar which smells like Rockstar Soap (which is another favorite scent of mine). And now I am completely hooked on these Bubble Bars. I also got a little sample of The Godmother Soap, but I haven't tried it yet. My Lush store is having an event tomorrow, so I'm going to go and pick up a few different kinds of Bubble Bars. I also RSVP'ed to the event, so I get an extra goody bag!

I'll be sure to post what I get at the event tomorrow.

bringing back the FaceFront

I picked up a few FaceFront loose eye shadows a while back but never got around to using them. I did this look a few weeks ago.

There are no up close eye pictures because they all came out blurry. And I recently has a bad eyebrow waxing experience so, they are looking not too great here.

I don't exactly remember what I used on cheeks and lips, but I'm thinking MAC Mineralized Blush in "Dainty" and MAC Lipstick in "Angel" and Dazzleglass in "Babysparks".

I rarely ever use loose eye shadows/pigments because, well I'm too lazy to be using them. But I do have quite a collection of them. And I am quite embarrassed because I NEVER use them.

Maybe I'll get around to them all one day.

MAC Love That Look Haul

I think the Starflash finish is my favorite finish in MAC eyeshadows. More than likely, its because they are limited edition.

I ordered these shadows online a few weeks ago but never got around to posting this. But here it is.

They are sooo pretty.

Smoke & Diamonds is actually a back up. I picked it up last year when it came out and I love it. If you can't make a certain color work, just pair it with S&D and it will look great.

I think out of this years colors One Off and Strike A Pose are my favorites.

I also ordered some backups to two favorite limited edition lipsticks. Colour Crafted and A Rose Romance.

I also hauled a bit from the Colour Craft Collection. I picked up Porcelain Pink, Cheeky Bronze, and Smooth Merge MSF's and a Colour Crafted lipstick.
